Requires authentication to access the repo.magento.com repository. Newest way to access the Composer packages from magento respository. Whenever try to access repo.magento.com you have to pass Username (public key) and Password (private key).
To generate/access the key:
- First login https://marketplace.magento.com/
- If you are new customer than Register https://account.magento.com/applications/customer/login/
- If you are existing customer login with your magento credential.
- After successful login, goto “My profile”
- Click “Access Key”
- Select “Magento2” Tab
- For create new key click “Create A New Access Key”`
- You can also use if key already exist in your account.
- Public Key : is as User Name
Private key : is as Password
- You can also enable and disable the key. Also you can delete the key and generate new one.
- For timing if you are using the key enable it & once after delete the key
Note : You can not delete or disable the key if you have login with www.magento.com account section.
